On Friday, July 12th (Lights4Liberty Vigil) and Saturday, July 13th, UUCL member Natalie Alexich traveled to Homestead, FL to witness at the Migrant Detention Center for Unaccompanied Children. Tonight’s presentation is the first-hand account of her time on-site: pictures, video, commentary, and stories. Please join us for her presentation followed by discussion and Q & A regarding Homestead.
This event is OPEN TO THE PUBLIC and is a non-ticketed event. Donations will be much appreciated to support the on-site witness operations: reimbursement for sun awnings & tents, ladders, tables, chairs, ice chests filled each day, water and light snacks, comfort stations, signs for the children and first aid kits. This operation has been self-funded since children began arriving over six months ago. All of these support mechanisms must be transported in and out daily. We need to help out.
Come join the discussion, question, learn, and engage. Open to the public so bring your friends. Contact Natalie for questions at Nalexich@aol.com
